What a great place!!!! The doctor helped my daughters both get their first eye exam. My one daughter is non verbal and the doctor made accomodations so we could get her an eye test and it was so awesome . Thank you for helping my girls! I didn't know if we'd ever have an eye test for her and we did!!! Thank you Dr Lorenzo!!!! 🫶🏻

From the first phone call to make my appointment to the visit, the staff and doctor were very friendly and professional! When showing up to my appointment I was kindly greeted immediately and given paperwork, then was taken back right away for eye exam. Later, picking out my glasses was easy with the help and expertise of the staff member who also helped me at the front desk. She was very personable, easy to chat with and sufficient! Glasses were also very affordable! I will be coming back here for my future eye exams and glasses!

Been going there 10yrs. Always get pinpoint on prescriptions on my specs. I moved an hour away from them a while ago but still worth the drive. Great staff too, friendly, knowledgeable…

This will be my 3rd upcoming visit for glasses I am very pleased with all staff. I have had no problems with their knowledge of my insurance and coverage cost. Nice selection. Not overwhelming. Very clean atmosphere. Everyone is pleasant and professional. Highly recommend them.

10-16-25 Today I Just had the best experience all the way around getting my eyes checked out at the West Mifflin Community Eye Care…! Leslie, Leesa & Britany were all very nice and an awesome pleasure to work with…! They all treated me like I was family and with care…! Dr. Dave couldn’t have been nicer and kept me informed on every aspect on the total examination. He took the time to listen and answer all my question I had about my eyes. Couldn’t have found a better Optometrist in all my years. You’re the Best Dr. Dave…!!! Thank you everyone for this awesome experience. You all definitely put my mind at ease…!!!

I recently started joining him on his appointments & have noticed the whole team of people who work there (front desk & doctors) to be extremely personable & professional. The prices are reasonable & the atmosphere & selection of frames are great! I definitely recommend this place for anyone in need of an eye exam, glasses, or contacts!! :)

Dr. Boehme was incredibly thorough, explained everything clearly, and took the time to answer all of my questions. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients and go above and beyond to ensure comfort and clarity throughout the visit. The staff was friendly, professional, and efficient—overall, just a smooth and pleasant experience. I highly recommend Dr. Boehme to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate eye doctor!

I truly cannot speak highly enough of AVA. Between their timely, efficient, and thorough communication and accessibility - along with their just overall customer service, they are UNMATCHED! Because of some newer eye issues, I’ve become somewhat of a “regular”, and know just about all of the staff by name in just a few short visits - and love them all dearly! The practice is family owned, which makes the care experience even that much more personalized and comforting. They genuinely care for their patients and are always seeking out the most up to date techniques and treatments to meet the needs of their clients. My family and I will soon be moving out of the south hills… but trust me when I say, I could be moving to an entirely different state and would STILL never change providers.

I took my son in for glasses. The entire staff was amazing and friendly. Dr. Boehme explained everything that he was doing during the exam. I am disabled and they even offered to bring my car up from the back lot for me. I thought that was the nicest thing. They really care. I would highly recommend them. I will be scheduling my own appointment soon.

Our whole family needed glasses and everyone was so kind and thorough. I previously used a big chain place and will honestly never go back. I didn’t feel rushed at all during my appointment, I felt like my exam was extremely thorough, and everyone was very knowledgeable and friendly. They helped my young child feel at ease and even had eyeball lollipops for kids!
